Because sales aren't profit. Tare subtracts product cost, fulfilment, payment fees, refunds, ad spend and any fixed overhead you've set. The difference between the two numbers is what those costs actually add up to.
Tare won't guess what something costs. Set Cost per item on that product in Shopify, or connect Printful or Printify and costs fill in automatically. Until then that product is left out of your profit figure rather than counted as free.
Check that the Meta connection is still authorised and that the correct ad account is selected in Connections. Ad-account access tokens expire periodically and need reconnecting.
Tare uses your store's timezone for every day boundary. If your Meta ad account is set to a different timezone, Tare re-buckets the hourly spend so it lands on the right store day.
Disconnect any service in Connections, or delete the app, and nothing of yours remains.
